Classroom Use

POST A MESSAGE
- Post a note, alert, assignment, or poll
- Embed videos, attach files, links or any documents from your Edmodo Library collection
- Send message to a group, or post direct messages to specific students or teacher connections
- Under "Group Settings>Advanced Settings" you can:
~ default new members to read only status
~ moderate all posts or replies before published to the group stream
- Change individual students to read only status:
~ in Members section, click "Manage"
~ select student, toggle Access drop down arrow to read only

EDMODO LIBRARY
- Upload, store and edit content
- Organize into folders and share with groups
- Unlimited storage, accessible anywhere!
POLL
- Posts one polling question at a time
- Can add as many polling answers as you like
- Displays results with a colored bar
ASSIGNMENTS
- Upload documents for classwork/homework
- Students can download to complete, then re-upload for grading
GRADING (Assignments)
- Students can attach documents, links or embed video
- Teachers can use Comments to provide feedback and students can comment back
- Uploaded documents can now be annotated, then shared with students to view
CREATING A QUIZ
- Create new or load prevously created quiz
- Name quiz, set time limit and write directions.
- Allow students to see their results
- Add questions
~ Select question type, write question, write answer, select correct answer
GRADING (Quizzes)
- Edmodo grades multiple choice content
- Color and shape coding for correct/incorrect/needs to be graded
- Can automatically add to gradebook that can be exported
- Can view number of correct responses by question
- Can view individual student quizzes and leave comments, per question, for feedback
PLANNER (CALENDAR)
- Filter by color coded group
- Add class events, school events, or view scheduled assignments

BADGES
- Create, share, and reward students with badges for accomplishments
- Badges can be assigned to students
- Badges can be assigned to teachers if the group created is marked "Professional Development"
- Badges are being used for career and college readiness, too!
APPS
- Edmodo App Information

- Free and paid apps are available in the Edmodo app store
- Apps can be assigned to specific groups by the owner of that group
PARENT APP
- Parents can download their own Edmodo app specifically created for parent use. Available from iTunes and Google Play.

- Learn how to log in to third-party apps and websites using your Edmodo login information.
